Limerick hurlers have received a timely boost ahead of the Munster campaign as defender Tom Condon has returned to full fitness.

Condon missed the latter end of the National Hurling League campaign including the quarterfinal defeat to Dublin, but he returned to action last weekend in a challenge match against Galway.

His return will ease some of the injury headaches that the Limerick management team have at the moment, but they are still sweating over the fitness of four players.

Nickie Quaid, Donal O'Grady, Seamus Hickey and Kevin Downes are all on the treatment table, although the latter two may feature for their clubs in the opening round of the Limerick SHC on May 1st.

Both Quaid and O'Grady are in a race against time to be fit for the Munster SHC opener against Clare on May 24th as they recover from shoulder and ankle injuries respectively.
