Jim Gavin has intimated that Alan Brogan could start next Sunday's Allianz Football League against Cork.

The 33-year-old former Footballer of the Year marked his first appearance of the year for Dublin with four points, including a late equaliser, in a SF challenge against Galway at Skerries yesterday.

His manager was suitably impressing, saying: "All panel players are in the mix now. We'll see how guys feel after that session with a good week of training. We'll reassess it then.

"It's good to have him (Brogan) back. He scored four nice points from play. He adds a lot, not just on the field of play, but off it too. He's a big leader so it's great to have him back.

"I've watched him playing a few times this year with his club and obviously he's been doing a bit of work with us too. So that's the form I expected, what he displayed out there is how he has been playing."
