Injury concerns mount for Shannonsiders

Limerick's captain Donal O'Grady leads out his team.

The Limerick hurling management team faces a nervy few weeks as a number of players continue to receive treatment.

Following last weekend's dismal performance against Dublin in the NHL quarterfinal, Limerick manager TJ Ryan will be keen to have his full strength side for the Munster SHC clash against Clare on May 24th.

Before the Dublin loss, Kevin Downes, Gavin O'Mahony and Tom Condon were all on the treatment table, but now Donal O'Grady and Seamus Hickey have joined them.

Throw in the fact that Wayne McNamara is carrying an injury despite playing last weekend, and Limerick have a number of their more experienced players missing at the moment.

Limerick have eight weeks to get the players right and the majority should be able to return, but O'Grady and Hickey will need all that time to recovery from an ankle and hamstring injury respectively.
