Donegal goalkeeper Paul Durcan is recovering after being involved in a car crash over the weekend.

The All Star custodian sustained minor whiplash and cuts, and his wife was also injured, when the accident occured between Ballygawley and Aughnacloy in County Tyrone.

Durcan's car was written off and he is a doubt for Donegal's league clash with Mayo this Sunday.

Manager Rory Gallagher confirmed to The Irish Daily Star that his No.1 is fine: "Paul is grand. He' a bit shook up, a few cuts and minor whiplash. His wife is not too bad. All being told, they are not too bad.

"The car's a write-off. He'd only got the car a couple of weeks. It was unfortunate for him but as things go it could have been a lot worse. He's in good enough form."
