Tipperary are adamant that neither Seamus Callanan nor Cathal Barrett should have been dismissed on Sunday.

Full forward Callanan received a straight red card in the second half of the Premier County's league quarter-final victory over Offaly in Tullamore and is in danger of missing the semi-final meeting with Waterford at Nowlan Park on April 19th.

Corner back Barrett was subsequently sent to the line for two yellow-card offences but Premier County chiefs want to have the first of those two cards reviewed.

Tipp will open the appeals process this morning once they have studied a DVD of the match. They strongly feel that Callanan should not have been sent off for his part in an incident involving Offaly's Dermot Shortt and are prepared to go all the way to clear his name.
