There were crunch matches this evening in both the national football and hurling leagues.

At Croke Park, Dublin were involved in a massive double-header, facing Cork in Division 1A of the hurling league at 5pm and Tyrone in Division One of the football league at 7pm.

Those were the feature games but tonight's other 7pm matches were equally intriguing. In Division Two of the FL, Meath hosted neighbours Westmeath at Navan and Cavan entertained relegation-threatened Kildare at Breffni Park.

And in Division Three, there was a huge top-of-the-table clash between Ulster rivals Armagh and Fermanagh. Both these sides boasted 100% records after three rounds, so something had to give at the Athletic Grounds.
