DCU manager Niall Moyna says his players never know when they're beaten.

The 2015 Sigerson Cup champions will be remembered as much for their never-say-die attitude as for their footballing ability.

"I've said it of the guys all year, they find ways to win," Moyna proudly stated after yesterday's extra-time victory over holders UCC.

"We had 13 games this year and 11 of them were played away from home. That builds character, going into the lion's den game after game.

"I don't know if I can take much credit, they're just a great set of lads who dig deep. I wouldn't want to be in a dressing room with a better set of human beings and characters and they showed that in spades today."

The Monaghan native added: "There were a lot of games in the last four weeks when it looked to have been gone!

"That's sport. Any team coached by Billy Morgan, you know that they're going to be extremely well-prepared. They were a bit more experienced and maybe physically stronger, but we stuck to our gameplan.

"One of the big things this year was that we thought we had a really good bench. We had a starting team and a finishing team and that worked very well."
