This weekend sees the start of the Irish Daily Star National League, and to celebrate the beginning of the intercounty season players from Cavan, Cork, Clare, Dublin, Galway, Kilkenny and Westmeath gathered at Croke Park this week to launch the National League campaign.

To help supporters follow and share in the action a new hashtag - #wherepridemeetspassion - was also launched to encourage fans to interact whilst attending matches throughout the National League campaign.

The Irish Daily Star will be providing coverage of each round of the National League campaign as well as announcing weekly Performance of the Week.

Speaking at the launch, Aileen Lawlor, Uachtarán an Cumann Camógaíochta said: "The Irish Daily Star National League is a great showcase for players to begin the intercounty season and to establish themselves within their county team.

"The level of dedication and commitment exemplified by the players from all counties in pursuit of a National League title has to be highly commended. All of the counties involved will be striving to make the League Finals come May 3rd.

"We are particularly thankful to the Irish Daily Star for their continued support of the Camogie National League. The Irish Daily Star have been proud and committed supporters of Camogie for many years and we are looking forward to working with them over the coming years."
