DCU were forced to dig deep to get the better of 14-man St Mary's in today's quarter-final.

Niall Moyna's side came from five points down to force extra-time and Donal Wrynn's goal proved to be the difference between the sides at the final whistle.

St Mary's went into the break with an 0-8 to 0-3 lead but they were dealt a blow when they were reduced to 14 men following the sending-off of Ryan Johnston.

Armagh's Aidan Forker extended their lead with the opening score of the second-half but, capitalising on their numerical advantage, DCU hit 1-3 without reply to get back on level terms.

The sides finished level - St Mary's 0-10, DCU 1-7 - at the end of 60 minutes.

Niall Moyna and his players now march on to finals weekend which takes place at the home of 2014 champions UCC on Friday, February 20 and Saturday, February 21.
