Peter Creedon was furious with All-Ireland final referee David Coldrick after Tipperary suffered a last-gasp defeat to Armagh at the Athletic Grounds.

The two minutes of stoppage-time were up when Jamie Clarke fired over the winner for the Orchard County, prompting the Tipp manager to slam the Meath official's time-keeping.

"The linesman beside me told the referee that time was up and he played another minute after that, so that sums it up for me really," Creedon fumed.

"I don't know what David Coldrick was at, the linesman definitely said when the goalie was kicking the ball out 'David the time is up' and he played another minute.

"Our lads were superb and I won't take anything away from them, but the performance of the referee was atrocious."

While accepting that his were below par, Armagh manager Kieran McGeeney felt they deserved to win.

"I usually find the better team wins," he said.

"We weren't great today, but we did it when it counted."
