Oliver is still the Mann to lead Limerick

December 14, 2014

James Mann, Patrickswell captain, accepts the County Cup from Limerick chairman Oliver Mann.

Oliver Mann was re-elected Limerick chairman in Ballylanders this afternoon following a landslide victory over vice-chairman Pat Heffernan.

In what was the first contest for the chair since 1996 when Gerry Bennis ran against Brendan Danaher, Mann defeated his challenger by 207 votes to 95.

In the only other election at the Treaty County convention, Liam Lenihan and Frank Reidy secured the two Munster Council delegate positions, with Mickey O'Sullivan losing out.
