Dr Crokes have turned to a Cork man in their quest to prise the Kerry SFC title from Austin Stacks next year.
Peadar Healy, who served as a selector under Conor Counihan when Cork won the Sam Maguire in 2010, replaces Noel O'Leary at the Crokes helm. The Killarney club failed to win the Bishop Moynihan Cup this year for the first time since 2009, with the loss of talisman Colm Cooper to a cruciate ligament injury in February being sorely felt.
They did win the Kerry club championship, but that was scant consolation for a club that claimed a three-in-a-row of Munster club titles from 2011 to '13, and harbours ambitions of lifting the Andy Merrigan Cup in the near future.
