Tadhg Kennelly will host the fourth AFL International Combine this weekend in DCU.

23 athletes from Ireland, Denmark and the UK will be put through a series of tests to determine their suitability for an AFL career.

The tests focus on agility, vertical jump, endurance, speed and skills.

AFL International Talent Manager Kennelly explained to The Irish Independent: "These tests are the same as those conducted in Australia and enable us to compare athletes from all over the world.

"The combine looks for athletes and footballers with athletic prowess with the skill to potentially play AFL."

AFL Combines are conducted in the USA, New Zealand, throughout the Pacific region, China and South Africa.

At the conclusion of the combine, two athletes will be selected to attend the 2015 AFL Draft Combine over a four day period in Melbourne next October.
