Dyas: We're lucky to have McGeeney

Armagh's Kevin Dyas

Kevin Dyas says he and his Armagh team mates will give it everything under Kieran McGeeney next season.

'Geezer' takes the reins from Paul Grimley for 2015 when Armagh will be looking to build on the rich championship form of this past summer which saw them reach the last eight of the All-Ireland series and Dyas believes that the right man is in charge for the Orchard County.

"They don't come much better than Geezer," the Dromintee man told the Irish News.

"We're just lucky that he's an Armagh man and he wants to take us for the next while. We're extremely lucky and all the boys will be rowing in behind him and doing the best we can for him.

"It's very hard to explain Geezer unless you're involved with him. He demands the best from everybody and, more importantly, everybody wants to do well for him. He gets the best out of boys and anybody who can do that is doing the right thing."

Dyas feels that top priority for Armagh next season will be promotion back to Division Two of the National League.

"We need to get out of Division Three," he said. "We felt we let ourselves down last year by getting relegated and we want to put that right by coming straight back up."
