Joe Brolly has urged Mickey Harte to build his Tyrone team around Ronan O'Neill.
The gifted young forward produced another devastating performance for Omagh St. Enda's in their shock Ulster club SFC quarter-final win over Crossmaglen last Sunday, prompting Brolly to write in his popular Gaelic Life column: "I saw the boy as a minor, leading Omagh to the Ulster club title.
"His performance against Dungiven in the semi-final was wondrous and I came away thinking 'Jesus, another Peter Canavan is all we need'.
"Sunday was a huge test for him. James Morgan, who put Colm Cooper in his pocket and fed him on farts in an All-Ireland club semi-final a few years ago, was his marker.
"James is nightmare. Powerful, aggressive, insanely competitive and fast.
"O'Neill, with very little ball, scored 1-3 from play. Each score was brilliant and as I watched him the thought struck me that Mickey Harte must build the county team around him."
