Naomh Conaill are expected to appeal the decision by the Donegal CCC to reject their objection to the result of last Sunday's Donegal SFC semi-final to the Ulster Council's Hearings Committee.

If they decide to do so, Sunday's Dr Maguire Cup decider between holders Glenswilly and St. Eunan's may not be able to proceed.

Naomh Conaill lodged the objection with the Donegal CCC following their 0-8 to 0-10 defeat to Glenswilly in Letterkenny last Sunday. The objection was lodged on the grounds that Glenswilly were able to replace a player - Ciaran Bonner - who should have been sent off under the new black card rule system.

The Glenswilly midfielder was issued with a yellow card in the first half by referee Jimmy White and a black card with two minutes remaining. His replacement Oisin Crawford scored a late point in Glenswilly's narrow win.
