Moments after the final whistle in last Sunday's Galway SFC final, Corofin manager Stephen Rochford was planning ahead for the Connacht club championship.

A comprehensive win over first time finalists St Michael's earned Corofin their latest title and now they head into yet another provincial campaign.

The Galway champions will play the winners of Tubbercurry (Sligo) and Aughawillan (Leitrim) on November 9th and Rochford told the Connacht Tribune that they had already started preparing for that clash.

"With the Connacht club championship on the way, we just want to get back to business, it's great to enjoy a county final success but already it's time to look ahead," said Rochford.

Corofin are the bookies' favourites to win the Connacht title this year.
