Wicklow County Board will investigate unsavoury incidents that took place during the Division Two match between Ballymanus and Blessington.
Chaos ensued after the final whistle at Tinahely on Sunday when a crowd of around 50 people from both sides became engaged in a melee, during the course of which a player was allegedly bitten, according to The Wicklow People.
The post-match dust-up stemmed from another incident during the match itself when a Blessington player was struck in the face and suffered a broken jaw and damaged teeth - injuries which required surgery, according to the report.
The trouble flared when a spectator confronted the player he deemed responsible for causing the injury.
Wicklow CCC will make a ruling on the matter once it has studied the referee's report.
