Kilkenny are reportedly disappointed that a warning about future conduct has been left hanging over manager Brian Cody.

Yesterday it was revealed that Cody had got away with a slap on the wrist after the CCCC charged him with bringing the game into disrepute following comments he made about referee Barry Kelly's decision to award a late free to Tipperary in the drawn Liam McCarthy decider.

The GAA's Hearing Committee ruled that his comments did not constitute misconduct considered to have discredited the Association but Cody was warned as to his future conduct in media interviews.

The Irish Independent reports that the warning has not gone down well with the Cats while referees also feel let down by the judgment.
