Jim McGorry says he can't wait to get started in his new role as Down senior football manager next season.
McGorry steered Kilcoo to their third consecutive Down SFC last Sunday and is already mapping out his plans for the Mourne men in 2015.
"I am looking forward immensely to this challenge. Even though teams are not allowed to do anything collectively in November and December, there is a lot of preparatory work to be undertaken," McCorry told The Belfast Telegraph.
The Lurgan man feels that is the start of a new era for Down as the county looks to end a silverware famine that has spanned two decades now.
"It's a new beginning in Down, it's not just a transition process," he said. "There will be changes to the playing personnel, there will be changes to the management team and other structures. A lot of that work has already started.
"I am looking forward to getting stuck into what is a tough county job. It is not going to be easy and I don't underestimate it."
McCorry has yet to finalise his backroom team and confirmed that he will stay at the helm with Kilcoo until their Ulster club SFC concludes, with Monaghan champions Clontibret up first.
