The third annual Gaelic Players Association's Gala Dinner in New York last Thursday raised a whopping $600,000 for the players' association.
An attendance of 700 turned up at the iconic Plaza Hotel where Tom Moore of Kramer, Dillof, Livingston and Moore along with Mike Brewster of Credit Suisse were recipients of the Ireland-US Gaelic Heritage awards for 2014.
The Ireland-U.S. Gaelic Heritage Awards and the dinner gala are designed to celebrate and acknowledge the deep historical and cultural ties between the two countries, recognising a shared ancestry of which Irelands unique Gaelic sporting heritage is an intrinsic part.
The dinner committee was co-chaired by Adrian Jones, Managing Director of Goldman Sachs, John W. Neary an Executive Director of Weil, Gotshal and Manges LLP and also Carmine Rubino, Partner in Kramer, Dillof, Livingston and Moore.
Marty Morrissey was MC and All-Ireland winners Jackie Tyrell and Marc O Se were in attendance.
