Kieran McGeeney is tipped by former team-mate Stephen McDonnell to bring Armagh's media ban to an end.

The Orchard County's 2002 All-Ireland-winning captain has succeeded Paul Grimley at the helm and U21 boss McDonnell is confident that the former Kildare boss won't extend the lengthy media snub that was introduced during the summer:

"He will realise that you move on, it's a new chapter in Armagh football, a new manager and whatever and you move on," he says in The Irish Daily Mirror.

"You try to get the media talking about performances rather than a ban and I think he will be sensible enough to realise that."
