Camogie fans aren't happy with RTE for cutting short Cork captain Anna Geary's acceptance speech after yesterday's All-Ireland final.
Geary was delivering her speech after the Rebels' dramatic 2-12 to 1-9 victory over Kilkenny when the national broadcaster, which is a former sponsor of the All-Ireland camogie championship, cut to an ad break.
The national broadcaster's coverage of the camogie finals was otherwise superb but the unfortunate editing drew criticism on social media:
Why @rte? Cutting to ad break in middle of Anna Geary's acceptance speech? Ludicrous. Congrats Cork! #camogie #AllIrelandFinal

@RTEsport Yet again ye should be ashamed of yourselves for cutting across Anna Geary and her speech at the Camogie Final. shameful
- ken jordan (@kjcork) September 14, 2014@RTEgaa @TheSundayGame So disrespectful to cut to adds during Anna Geary's Speech, wouldn't happen during the men's Final, Disgraceful!!

@RTEgaa Very disrespectful to Anna Geary and @CorkCamogie_ to cut to ad break like that during her acceptance speech!
