John Clarke has poured cold water on speculation that his brother Marty is planning on quitting Aussie Rules and returning to his gaelic football roots.

The former Down star will be back in Ireland in October for his wedding but, as of now, he remains undecided on his future according to his brother.

"Obviously there is a lot of speculation about Marty's future," John said to the Irish News. "But at the minute his priority is he is coming home to get married in October.

"He is currently in negotiations with Collingwood about a possible new contract. But there are other options. He could get another club to pick him up.

"He could be picked up in the draft system. He also has the option of coming home, but nothing has been set in concrete. Over the next few weeks, he will know more about what he is doing."
