The All-Ireland SHC quarter-final double-bill at Semple Stadium yesterday turned out to be something of an anti-climax but that won't concern Limerick and Tipperary who are both now looking forward to the semi-final stage.

1. Nickie Quaid (Limerick)

The Limerick netminder didn't put a foot wrong against Wexford and gets the vote ahead of Tipperary's Darren Gleeson.

2. Seamus Hickey (Limerick)

Liam Og McGovern was one of the stars of Wexford's run to the last eight but he didn't get a sniff off the experienced Hickey.

3. Richie McCarthy (Limerick)

Rising Model County star Conor McDonald won't recall marking the All-Star full-back with any great fondness.

4. Cathal Barrett (Tipperary)

Barrett had little option but to concede the second-half penalty to Dublin and he breathed a sigh of relief when Paul Ryan's attempt was saved.

5. Brendan Maher (Tipperary)

The Premier County captain kept Danny Sutcliffe on a tight leash before the Dublin All-Star was called ashore in the 41st minute.

6. Wayne McNamara (Limerick)

Podge Doran endured a frustrating afternoon trying to outwit Limerick's experienced number six.

7. Padraic Maher (Tipperary)

The Thurles Sarsfields man showed signs that he is returning to somewhere near his best form with an all-action display against the Dubs.

8. James Ryan (Limerick)

Won his personal duel with Wexford's Lee Chin hands down and and clipped over two points for good measure.

9. Shane McGrath (Tipperary)

A late call-up to the Tipperary starting 15 following the withdrawal of Michael Cahill, McGrath gave manager Eamon O'Shea a welcome selection headache ahead of the semi-final against Cork.

10. David Breen (Limerick)

Netted the game's opening goal and his direct running caused plenty of problems for the Wexford rearguard.

11. Patrick Maher (Tipperary)

Bonner's work-rate knows no bounds and he provides the perfect foil for the likes of Seamus Callanan and John O'Dwyer.

12. Declan Hannon (Limerick)

Hannon and his forward colleagues enjoyed the freedom of Semple Stadium and he punished Wexford's lethargy with four white flags.

13. John O'Dwyer (Tipperary)

The second semi-final was effectively over as a contest once O'Dwyer found the back of the Dublin net in the 52nd minute and he added a second for good measure late on.

14. Shane Dowling (Limerick)

Dowling showed no mercy to weary Wexford and blitzed the Model County for a grand total of 2-8.

15. Graeme Mulcahy (Limerick)

Mulcahy sent over three points from play but is unlikely to have it as handy against Kilkenny in the last four.
