A knee injury has cast a doubt over Tipperary defender Michael Cahill's availability for tomorrow's All-Ireland SHC quarter-final against Dublin.

Despite being named at left corner-back on the Tipp team released by Eamon O'Shea and his selectors on Thursday evening, the Irish Independent reports that the former All-Star did not take a full part in training this week and his knee has been heavily strapped.

Speculation has increased that he is a serious doubt and that could open the door for last year's captain Shane McGrath to be called up to the half-back line with Cathal Barrett taking over from Cahill in the full-back line.

Tipperary are already without the injured trio of Conor O'Mahony, Niall O'Meara and Liam McGrath.
