John Hayes will miss Cork's next championship game after picking up a straight red card in the closing stages of their heavy defeat by Kerry.

The experienced Carbery Rangers forward was dismissed in the 69th minute, just 10 minutes after he had come as a replacement for Aidan Walsh, after catching Declan O'Sullivan with a high elbow. The sending off completed a miserable afternoon for Brian Cuthbert's side who were humbled by their neighbours in the last Munster SFC final to be played at Pairc Ui Chaoimh before it is redeveloped.
