Cork minor hurler Shane O'Brien has thanked Limerick for their well wishes after he was injured in last Thursday's Munster semi-final at the Gaelic Grounds.
The corner back was hospitalised after he picked up an injury eight minutes into the game, which holders Limerick won on a 0-23 to 2-15 scoreline. Earlier today, the St. Catherine's youngster took to Twitter to express his appreciation for the concern shown and the support he has received from the Limerick management and team since he suffered the injury.
He tweeted: "Nice gesture from limerick minor hurlers and managment, sending a gift card and signed card to me #Respect #TopMen".
In a subsequent tweet, Shane said: "Huge respect for limerick managment/parents to drive down to cork to visit me last night and today #VerySporting"
No doubt about it, sportsmanship is alive and well in that part of the country!
