Preview: SFC qualifier: Wicklow v Offaly

June 21, 2014

Offaly's Eoin Carroll and Anthony McLoughlin of Wicklow
Offaly's record in the football qualifiers leaves a lot to be desired and they travel to Aughrim on Saturday to take on a Wicklow side who will have drawn some encouragement from their display against Laois.

The Faithful County's starting 15 shows one change from the Leinster championship loss to Longford with Joseph O'Connor coming for the suspended David Hanlon.

There are also a number of positional changes which sees Daithi Brady move to full-back and Johnny Maloney switch to midfield.

In attack, Peter Cunningham and Anton Sullivan swap positions.

Garden County boss Harry Murphy believes home advantage gives his side a 'slight advantage'.

"There are no guarantees in football but obviously the fact that we have a home draw will give us a slight advantage. It saves you the travelling, it saves you playing on their home pitch."

Verdict - Wicklow.
