Seven cut from Limerick championship panel

Limerick joint-managers TJ Ryan and Donal O'Grady have announced their championship panel.

Seven players who were named in the initial panel for 2014 have been omitted from the 32-man squad that will attempt to retain the Munster SHC title, starting with the provincial semi-final against Tipperary in Thurles on June 1.

The players who have been cut are last year's Munster MHC winners Richie English, Darragh O'Donovan and Darragh Kennedy along with Cathal McNamara, Paudie Aherne, Barry Lynch and Niall Kennedy. None of the seven saw game-time in the recent Allianz League campaign.

Barry Hennessy, Philip O'Loughlin, John Fitzgibbon, Thomas O'Brien, William Hickey, Micheal Ryan and Dan Morrissey are new additions to this year's championship squad.
