A legal dispute which threatened the future of the £76m redevelopment of Casement Park has been resolved and work is expected to begin on the project later this month.

Members of the Casement Social Club were seeking an injunction to stop the demolition of their premises but UTV is reporting that a judge has been informed that a process of mediation with Antrim GAA has proved successful.

Brett Lockhart QC, for the social club, confirmed a settlement was reached on a confidential basis.

Work on transforming the ground into a 38,000-seat stadium is due to get underway this month.
