The GAA clubs and players should benefit from Sky's money, according to Sports Minister Leo Varadkar.
The Fine Gael TD has called on the GAA to outline how it will spend the money generated by its controversial deal with the subscription-based broadcaster.
He told the Examiner that Sky's coverage will give the Irish diaspora better access to gaelic football and hurling but added: "What I think would be of reassurance to fans and the general public would be some indication as to how the GAA is to spend the money they are going to get.
"Certainly, I'd like to see that filter down to clubs and players as well."
