HS Hurling Team of the Week
May 20, 2013

Roscommon and Donegal will contest the national hurling league Division 3A final.
We select our best XV from the weekend hurling action.
1. Stephen Keith (Down)The 'keeper kept a clean sheet in Down's Christy Ring Cup quarter-final victory over Derry, making an excellent save from a Alan Grant penalty early in the second half.
2. Eoin Nolan (Carlow)The full back was solid in Carlow's Leinster SHC victory over London.
3. Brian Campion (Laois)Antrim could only manage five points from play against Laois and former skipper Campion was responsible for keeping their full forward Conor Carson out of the game.
4. John A Delaney (Laois)Any defender who keeps Shane McNaughton scoreless from play can feel pleased with his performance.
5. Neal McAuley (Antrim)One of the few positives Antrim will take from their visit to O'Moore Park was the performance of McAuley, who had a fine game at centre back.
6. Matthew Whelan (Laois)The Laois captain led by example, with his big clearance out of defence for Tommy Fitzgerald's fifth-minute goal setting the tone.
7. Joe Fitzpatrick (Laois)Nullified the considerable threat of Neil McManus in a man of the match performance in Portlaoise.
8. Richie Coady (Carlow)One of two brothers in the Carlow team, the Mount Leinster Rangers clubman was very effective against London.
9. James Walsh (Laois)Another O'Moore County star who has been rejuvenated since Seamus 'Cheddar' Plunkett became manager.
10. Brian Dunne (Laois)Stepped up to the plate with a three-point haul against Antrim.
11. Zane Keenan (Laois)Scored five points - four from play - in an impressive display on Saturday night.
12. Sean Murphy (Carlow)Was the Barrowsiders' second highest scorer from play against London with a tally of 1-3.
13. Craig Doyle (Carlow)Few substitutes will have the same impact in this year's championship as Doyle had against the Exiles. From the moment he replaced the injured John Michael Nolan in the 22nd minute, he wreaked havoc to finish with 3-2 to his credit.
14. Martin Duggan (London)A great effort by the Spancil Hill native who shot 1-3 from play in London's Leinster SHC debut at Dr Cullen Park.
15. Tadhg Campbell (Monaghan)The left corner forward bagged a hat-trick of goals as the Farney County saw off Sligo in the Nicky Rackard Cup.
