Mayo defender Kevin Keane is delighted by how his first season in the side is going.
Keane picked up a Connacht medal last Sunday after Mayo dug deep to see off the challenge of Sligo in the Provincial final.
The Westport clubman has looked at ease in his first year in the starting XV and he admitted to the Western People that it has been a dream come true so far.
"First year starting on the team and winning a Connacht title, it's just great. It's every young fellas dream to make the Mayo team and play in a Connacht final in front of thousands of people," said Keane.
"Not everyone gets that opportunity and I know how lucky I am. It was always my ambition when I was a young fella and I've had a few ups and down along the way, but I stuck at it."
