Harte reveals his admiration for Clarke

Mickey Harte acknowledged Jamie Clarke's class after Tyrone's narrow victory over Armagh at the Morgan Athletic Grounds.

The Red Hand boss insisted that it would have been a pointless exercise to double-mark the Armagh corner forward as it's impossible to nullify a player of his talent. Instead, Aidan McCrory was given the task of man-marking the Crossmaglen ace.

"Quality players cannot be stopped, they can only be contained to a degree. That is what we tried to do," Harte explained.

"We tried to do that in as positive a fashion as we possibly could. It wasn't a case of closing him out and sending two men on him.

"We tried to get a man to hold him up until the artillery arrived and helped him out. But Jamie Clarke is that type of talent. He doesn't need that much space or that much room. That is what the game is all about. It is good to have people like him in the game."

Since when is 0-19 to 1-13 a narrow victory? Seems pretty comfortable to me.
