Brian McGuigan returns to Tyrone training
01 June 2012
Brian McGuigan, Tyrone and Kevin Nolan, Dublin during the AllIreland SFC quarter final at Croke Park.
Mickey Harte has convinced Brian McGuigan to shelve his retirement plans.
The Ardboe man announced his intercounty retirement earlier this year but has answered an SOS ten days before his county's Ulster SFC opener against Armagh.
McGuigan trained with Tyrone on Thursday evening and will be in contention to face the Orchard County on June 10.
Harte revealed earlier in the week that he was tying to bring a player out of retirement once it was confirmed that Sean Cavanagh's season was over due to a shoulder injury.
A raft of injuries have decimated the Tyrone attack with Cavanagh joined on the sideline by Ronan O'Neill, Tommy McGuigan and Kyle Coney.
Comments
He's far too good to be retired anyway.
