Butler set for sanction

Killian Butler scores London's goal against Galway

Tir Chonaill Gaels will have to plan without county star Killian Butler for Sunday’s London SFC final.

Butler looks set to face a sanction after it is alleged that he played club football in America earlier this year without authorisation.

The talented forward could well be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines and TCG manager Paul Coggins admitted that they just have to get on with it as they prepare to face Fulham Irish.

“Killian will be a big player for us for many years to come. He is one of our own and we will stick by him,” said Coggins.

“But we’ve had to rotate with key players out before and we’ll do that again. We have a fantastic crop of young players knocking on the door determined to make a name for themselves.”

He added: “I’d rather focus on what we have than talk about what we don’t have. We’ll be more than a match for Fulham on Sunday.”
