Glen Rovers and Imokilly both advanced to the last four of the Cork SHC at Pairc Ui Rinn today.

Patrick Horgan helped himself to six points as Glen Rovers came out on top against Newtownshandrum by 1-12 to 0-14.

The winners could afford the luxury of a missed second-half penalty by the Cork ace and they now switch their focus to a penultimate stage clash with Carrigtwohill.

Meanwhile, Imokilly’s bid for a three-in-a-row remains on course following the second game in today’s quarter-final double-header,

The champions proved too strong for Sarsfields on a scoreline of 1-17 to 0-10.

Declan Dalton’s converted 14th minute penalty sent the divisional side on the road to a 10-point success while Sarsfields finished with 13 men after both William Kearney and James Sweeney picked up second yellow cards late on.

The winners will face St Finbarr’s in the last four.
