Former Tipperary All-Ireland winner Babs Keating says he expects “a big reaction” from Clare this Sunday when they take on Cork in the fifth and final round of the Munster SHC.

The Banner men are in need of a win to keep their championship hopes alive and Keating says the players at their disposal are well capable of bouncing back from the 1-28 to 0-13 hammering they took from Limerick last time out.

“This is a Clare side that really could have, possibly should have, won last year’s All-Ireland,” he wrote in his column for the Irish Sun.

“They looked like they had the momentum but fell just short in a semi-final replay against Galway. It’s hard to believe the wheels have fallen off so dramatically that many in their own county are writing them off.

“Those Banner players will be hurting from what has gone on over the last few weeks and I’d be amazed if there wasn’t a big reaction from them in Ennis on Sunday.”
