Maria Canavan was in unstoppable form recently as she registered a whopping 3-13 for the Errigal Ciaran ladies.

Peter’s niece, who captained her club to the Ulster minor title 18 months ago, has had an unbelievable start to the season and her eye-watering haul last Friday week was instrumental in Errigal Ciaran’s 4-17 to 1-14 victory over Glenelly, which propelled them back to the top of the Division One table.

Peter Canavan’s daughter, Aine, was also on target for the pace-setting Ballygawley girls in that game.

Maria lined out at centre half forward for Tyrone against Donegal in Saturday’s Ulster Ladies SFC preliminary round tie at Breffni Park, and helped herself to 1-8.
