Oisin McConville has allayed concerns about the wellbeing of Jarlath Og Burns who was hospitalised after Armagh's Ulster SFC semi-final replay defeat to Cavan.

The 21-year-old midfielder was substituted in the 69th minute and left Clones in an ambulance after falling ill in the dressing-rooms afterwards. Burns allegedly suffered concussion in the drawn game, but McConville clarified after making the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers Round 2 draw along with GAA president John Horan this morning that he suffered dehydration yesterday.

 "Yesterday was nothing to do with concussion," said McConville.

"He was dehydrated and exhausted... I believe he's doing fine now."

McConville joked on RTE's Morning Ireland that he "might just stay down here in Dublin" after the draw paired his beloved Armagh with Monaghan.

"A lot of teams in the semi-finals, who lost, would have wanted to avoid Monaghan," he added.
