Ryan to skipper Kildare U20s

April 20, 2019

Kildare's Daragh Ryan.

Daragh Ryan will captain Kildare in their quest to retain the All-Ireland U20FC this summer.

Manager Gay Campbell has confirmed the Sarsfields clubman's appointment on Twitter. Ryan, who was recently called up to the county senior squad, follows in the footsteps of his brother Shea who skippered the Kildare U21s two years ago.

Evin McGovern (Rathcoffey) and Jack Sargent (Eadestown) will be the joint vice-captains. The Lilywhites begin their All-Ireland defence against Laois in Newbridge on June 22, but will play games against Dublin, Cork, Galway and Kerry in the newly-created U20 football development league before that.
