Former Brighton & Hove Albion player Dessie Hutchinson marked his Waterford SFC debut for Gaultier yesterday by scoring the winning point from a free against An Rinn.
The 22-year-old spent two seasons at Brighton before returning to play for Waterford FC in the League of Ireland last year. He has since switched his focus to playing football with Gaultier and hurling with Ballygunner. Yesterday in Kill, he finished with three points as Gaultier prevailed by the minimum, 1-5 to 1-4.
“It’s brilliant. I’ve been craving it for a while to be honest with you. It was tough to come back but when you come into a group like that, you’re just one of the lads. I’m delighted to be back with them,“ he told the Irish Examiner.Tweet
