Armagh are set to be without defender James Morgan for this weekend’s Ulster derby clash with Fermanagh in Crossmaglen.

Morgan lost out in his appeal against the red card he received along with Donegal's Jason McGee in Round 5, with the Central Hearings Committee ruling last night that the infraction was proven.

The Crossmaglen man would need to be successful in a late appeal to the GAA’s Hearings Committee in order to be freed up for Saturday’s showdown in the Orchard County.

Victory for Kieran McGeeney’s side would leave them two points off Fermanagh with one round remaining, while a win for the Erne men puts them on the cusp of promotion ahead of their showdown with Meath at the top of the table.
