Kildare’s Ben McComack will sit out the remainder of the national football league due to a wrist injury.
Having netted a goal, the full forward was forced out of the Round Five defeat to Meath in Navan nine days ago and will undergo surgery this week, according to The Irish Independent.
The procedure will rule McCormack out of action for six weeks, which will make him unavailable for the forthcoming Division Two clashes with Tipperary and Donegal.
He should be back in time for the Leinster SFC opener against Wicklow on May 11th, however.
