Waterford hurling stalwart Kevin Moran says Na Deise are hungry for success in 2019.
Having reached the 2017 All-Ireland final, Moran and co. endured a disappointing summer campaign last year, losing all four of their Munster SHC round-robin fixtures.
But they’ll be playing two of their provincial matches at Walsh Park this year and set the tone on Sunday with a battling victory over Galway at the city venue.
“The hunger is still there after such a short and disappointing season last year,” Moran confirms in The Irish Sun. “If it’s still there, it’s a good sign.
“Any little nugget you can get, like home advantage, is a big one for us. It’s a big boost. I’m enjoying it and a lot of the lads are. It’s been very good, I’m fresh. A win like that against Galway really boosts morale.”
