John Ryan has reportedly been relieved of his duties as Limerick ladies football manager just six weeks after leading the Treaty County to an All-Ireland junior title.

According to the Limerick Leader, Ryan was dismissed following an end-of-season review on Monday.

The former Limerick minor and junior manager was hailed as a hero after steering Limerick to an emphatic 5-6 to 0-8 victory over Louth at Croke Park on September 16 last. The Limerick ladies football board has yet to confirm if they have parted company with Ryan and his assistants Jim Moran and Paul Butler.
