Tourlestrane joint-manager Eamonn O’Hara is hoping that they get to play their opening Connacht club SFC game at their home grounds.

Following their county final win over neighbours and rivals Tubbercurry last Sunday afternoon, O’Hara has quickly turned Tourlestrane's attentions to the club championship.

The Sligo champions have been drawn at home for their opening game against the Mayo champions who will be either Ballintubber or Breaffy.

However, with Markievicz Park out of commission at the moment, O’Hara is hopeful that they can host the game in Gortermone.

O’Hara told the Sligo Champion: “The thing with Markievicz out it is home advantage so you don’t want to relinquish that and we know Sligo County Board will fight for us on that and if we can get it in Tourlestrane it would be nice.”
