Tyrone best equipped to conquer Dubs - Brolly

Joe Brolly reckons Tyrone are the team best equipped to topple Dublin in their bid for a fourth consecutive All-Ireland SFC crown.

The controversial RTE pundit believes that Mickey Harte's men will "have too much" for Monaghan on Sunday and likely face the Dubs, who meet Galway tomorrow evening, on September 2nd for the right to take home the Sam Maguire Cup.

The Red Hands troubled the capital men late on when the two squared off in Omagh last month and Brolly feels similar tactics will need to be adopted if they do end up meeting Jim Gavin's side on the biggest day on the football calendar.

"I think it's time for courage here," he said when speaking on The Throw-in, Independent.ie's GAA podcast.

"A big game between Monaghan and Tyrone but I think Monaghan are outsiders and Tyrone have too much for them. I think the team best equipped to have a go - but only if they have a go - is Tyrone.

"I made the argument last week that Tyrone could play with four forwards and ten defenders with two double sweepers, on the edge of the square and between the half backs. Ten defenders is surely enough! It might sound ridiculous but that would give a team like Tyrone, who are dynamic and have good forwards - if they pick them - the attack/defence balance to have a real go at the Dubs."
