Limerick manager John Kiely welcomes his selection headache ahead of Sunday's Munster SHC clash with Clare.

The winners of this weekend's crunch Round Five derby in Ennis will be guaranteed a Munster final place and Kiely says that the form of his players is such that he'll struggle to finalise the subs never mind the starting XV:

"The word headache is often used in reference to selection so maybe it should come with a box of panadol," he jokes in The Limerick Leader. "Aaron Gillane is back in contention so that's something for us to decide upon. He is in the mix the same as everyone else. He has worked hard and made very good use of his time, which he should. It was an opportunity to do something with the extra time he had. He will be fighting fit and mad for road on Sunday, I'm sure.

"We are in decent shape - a couple of knocks and bumps after Sunday but nothing other than the run of the mill so they will be accessed on a daily basis but our expectation is that everybody will be fit for the weekend.

"I think those challenges in terms of selection are there all the time for all positions, it's not just the the one that is being highlighted between players in the full forward line - there are selection dilemmas all over the pitch and that's the way we want it to be. There are selection dilemmas for the subs, let alone the starting 15 and that's a great place to be."
